Meighan Morson is a graduate of the Drawing & Painting DPXA program. She is an artist that works mainly in digital media. Her work revolves around a few themes: mental health, diasporic identity, polarity, fantasy, afrofuturism and human consciousness. She particularly enjoys working with the figure, employing the use of high contrast, light and form to create strong, otherworldly and ethereal beings. Her two paintings (below), Solitude’s Requiem and Amisit Tempore, are part of an ongoing series titled “Headspace,” in which she creates personas that explore the relationship she has with creative expression as a form of therapy.
